Mykolas Romeris University

Classrooms

Following the orientation and reception on July 17 and 18, the Opening Ceremonies and the first days of the program (July 19021) will be held at the Mykolas Romeris University, 20 Ateities Street in Vilnius. Classrooms are bright, modern, and spacious, with technology available for Power Point presentations, video, etc.

Public transportation is quick, reliable, convenient and readily available for trips into and around the city. At this time bus fares are about 2 Lt. if purchased at one of the many kiosks or approximately .75 cents for a one way ticket (2.5 Lt if purchased on the bus). Participants should be advised to purchase a ticket upon boarding the bus, “stamp” it immediately and retain the ticket in case of surprise inspection by the customer control officers These surprise checks can result in a fine of 20 Lt.! We urge program participants to always purchase the appropriate tickets on board the buses.

A quick, efficient, trip from the Mykolas Romeris campus to Old Town is easy on Bus No. 10 or Bus No. 33 (to the Cathedral stop).

Housing

The cost of tuition for North American pariticpants will include accommodations at The Barbacan Palace Hotel (www.barbacan.lt) in the Old Town in Vilnius for for the program dates (checking in July 15 and checking out August 1, 2010). Students who wish to arrive earlier or stay later are welcome to do so at their own expense, but must make those arrangements through our program by separate email to take advantage of the reduced rate offered to our program.
